Benoît Dedieu

Director of Research at the INRA (French National Institute for Agricultural Research – France). Agricultural Engineer (INA PG, France, 1981) and PhD in Animal Sciences (INA PG, France, 1984). Initiator of the creation of a research and extension community on work in livestock farming (with the French Livestock Institute).

Head of the Sciences for Action and Development Division (www.sad.inra.fr), an inter-disciplinary division of the INRA (with technical and social scientists) centered on innovation processes in agriculture, environment and food systems.

Is also developing research into i) medium- to long-term livestock farming adaptation pathways in a context of hazards and uncertainties and ii) into the way the local territorial context marks questions of livestock farming development.
